Boutique Villa in Antigua

Location was perfect

Those of us who live in the Caribbean are used to sleeping with air conditioning, but it was very cool, not hot. Apart from that, there was nothing bad.

Really nice building, quiet and pretty. It is more like a 20 minute walk to the center, but still a good area kind of on the edge of town. Everything was clean and the kitchen had a lot of appliances.

The security and property manager did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate. They also lock the gate at night which makes it difficult if you are out late. They also did not have an option to pay by card and it was very difficult and stressful trying to find atms that would let me take out enough cash. I recommend doing it at the airport so you aren't paying multiple transaction fees.

Great spacious luxurious and clean room with a beautiful courtyard. It’s 20 minutes walk to town or you can get an Uber for ~$3.00.

This place is seriously nice! I wish we could have stayed longer. It’s modern but quaint at the same time. The furnishings are stunning. It’s very clean and well provisioned (coffee, loads of kitchen supplies, soap/shampoo/conditioner/hair dryer, etc). The shower was hot with good pressure. I was worried it would be hot without AC but this wasn’t an issue at all - it’s naturally nice and cool. We were also worried about where we could store our luggage for a few hrs after check-out given it’s not a hotel and the building management kindly let us leave our bags in their office.

The location is a little outside central Antigua but it’s only a 10 min walk. However, given the price and how amazing this property is, I wasn’t bothered by the distance.

Internet speed is very good, I was able to work remotely here for a few days, place is very comfortable and secure. Host is very accommodating to all my requests
