Douro Pateo House

Beautiful home away from home! Has everything you need, extremely comfortable beds, spacious rooms, beautiful and large patio, good amenities and shower! Small shop, bar, a Porthouse and beautiful views right around the corner and next to public transport (bus). Located in Gaia and therefor close enough to the vibing center of Porto and away enough to enjoy peaceful nights. Ana is also amazing! Personal communication and offered us many useful tips to get around in Gaia and Porto! Defo recommend this place, for short trips and longer stays! I will come back!

Overall it was a good stay, with walkable distance to the city. Having the mini kitchen make it easy to order take out as there are utensils available.

The toilet can be really cold as it’s without heating and it causes humidity in the room. It smells bad each time we came back. The wall is super thin and we can hear noises from the neighbor.

Ana is an exceptional hostess. She makes you feel very welcome and she is always ready to help in anything you need. She was very kind to welcome us with a delicious Pão de Ló (tipical Portuguese Cake). The house (2 bedroom apartment) has a beautiful pateo and it was spotless clean. Despite not been in Porto city center, its location is very close to the Cais of Gaia (very nice area to visit, with all the Port Wine Caves), which leads you easily to Porto city center and the Ribeira region (Douro banks in Porto). Plenty of free parking places in the area, which is very convenient if you have a car. Highly recommend this place.

The house is nicely decorated and have all the amenities that one will need during thier stay. The backyard is definitely a wonderful addition. Anna been a wonderful host and have provided all the wonderful places for food and sightings . She is also quick to response and just a text away . Il definitely recommend this place to anyone who visit !

Nothing

The apartment was clean and nice, with all the necessary to expend a few days there. Check in process was smooth and fast. Communication with the host was super easy! Location is good, but you need to walk 10 min to reach Douro River. The bed was really confortable.

All was good, nothing special to comment. The only negative point is that the neighbourhood of the apartment does not offer any good restaurant or bar, you need to walk down to the river for that.

everything was very fine in the room, we had a wonderful stay in Porto. Ana is very nice and provided us with some ideas of places to visit. Thank you for everything.
