Carmena Residence

Carmena Residence is perfectly located in the Main Street behind the family supermarket. Behind the pink door is a narrow courtyard with outside seating and a lovely shade canopy and a small clothes airer. Sat in the courtyard you don’t hear anything from the Main Street. Once inside the apartment it doesn’t have a lot of natural Light but this isn’t important as the rooms were very cool without the air con on. Having air con was great especially if the mornings and evenings we were in got warm. Everything was of a high standard. Very clean and tidy. The hosts insisted on a clean every couple of days and this was so kind of them. Carmena is hosted by the wonderful sisters, Katerina and Anna. They really are superb hosts. Always on hand if you need them for anything and nothing whatsoever is too much trouble. We loved the location. 5 Mins to the beach and with all the shops and restaurants literally on your doorstep. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Absolutely outstanding and can’t wait to rebook for next year. Thank you.

Interior, comfort, area, terrace

Very stylish and had everything you needed. The outdoor area was lovely and private. The location couldn’t be better as you walk out onto the main road yet there was no disturbances of noise in the apartment. Comfortable beds and liked how here was a sofa to lounge on too it felt like a spacious apartment. Loved the complimentary snacks and drinks it was a lovely touch.

The parking was not an issue as you could park very close by the school. It would have been handy to have a hair dryer.

This was an excellent stay. The location was perfect. In the centre of restaurants, bars, and stores. Everything is in walking distance, including the beach. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with all our requests. The actual apartment was lovely. Very quaint and very clean. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Very central and although there’s a gyros next door it was still quiet and private. The apartment is shaded so quite cool and everything works as new. There’s an explosion of cats in Kefalonia maybe due to Covid and neutering charities closing I don’t know but plenty cats around the area. I’d definitely stay again and the two sisters who manage it are there to assist and very helpful.

Can’t think of anything, my missus liked it so that’s a plus for me.

What a marvel! Hidden gem in a lovely area. You are right next to the bustling pedestrian street, yet in a quiet and secluded space. The apartment itself is very new, well-maintained, marine-style, created with a lot of care and attention to the detail. Namely the details oftentimes make the difference. Just to name a few - comfy beds, extra pillows, extra towels, coffee machine, welcome compliments, 8 sockets only in the bedroom. The outside area is the closest to an urban paradise. Ana the host is super kind and attentive but I guess you won’t need anything :)

The bathroom was a little small and the door did not fit very well, but was not a major problem. We would gladly stay again.

Very nicely decorated with a nice location in Skala. It was handy having a little private outdoor space to eat breakfast!

The bathroom floor can get quite wet as the shower screen doesn’t really keep the water in well, but not really an issue and plenty of floor towels were provided
