Brown Cow Cottage

The staff in the pub were lovely. The cottage was also lovely, however the mattress was a little soft!

The location is really nice and the cottage is bigger than it looks from the outside, the wow factor hit as soon as we got inside ,very clean and spacious ,we all slept really well the beds are very comfortable rooms are really big a bathroom up and down stairs plus tv in every room This place is really amazing Check in was easy and the host and staff at the pub next door are brilliant

Only thing I didn't like was the fact we had to leave and go home haha

The location and cuteness of this property which was deceptively bigger than I expected

It was a fabulous cottage and deceptively larger than expected

We loved everything about it

A lovely little cottage, very comfortable and homely. Had clearly been modernised well for a country cottage. Has a lovely little garden too, that I hadn't noticed on the photos

The car park wasn't meant to close until 10 pm, but on our first night, it closed early (around 8pm). It was a minor issue but would have been better to warn us so we could have moved it as we needed it

The team at the Brown Cow could not have been more helpful, accommodating, attentive & kind. The cottage was lovely, the heating was on for our arrival, we were shown to the HowNow cottage by a friendly lad who took his time to explain info on the internet, wifi, heating controls etc & told us if we needed any help or info to let the team know. The restaurant is also exceptional, massive helpings of seriously tasty home made food, fab drinks menu and all of this at incredibly fair & reasonable prices. Breakfast was just amazing, more of the same quality food, friendly, caring hospitality shown from the morning team & a cosy coal fire permanently lit, served in a beautifully quaint old building. Thanks for the great stay folks, look forward to my next visit to the Brown Cow ! :o)

Exactly the quaint, comfortable and character filled cottage we were hoping for. great facilities, two bathrooms a bonus and being next door to the pub with great meals was fantastic.

Property would’ve been a 10 out of 10 if the beds in the twin room weren’t so lumpy. otherwise nothing to dislike.

Very cozy, clean, pub next door with lovely food and cafe ales.
