Villa in Gargano - VILLA BASSO

Everything- the views, the space, the attention to detail, the beautiful decor. It was such a wonderful spot wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Beautiful surroundings, very nice updated property. Beautiful views and nice olive trees. Very quiet and lots of light. Dinning room and bedroom and living rooms were exceptionally nice

Due to weather alerts in Basilicata (another region), our previous hosts were forced to cancel our reservation at the last-minute. The decision to visit the Umbrian Forest and Gargano was made on the spot, and among the different stays we opted for Villa Basso. Everything of the villa was exceptional, especially considering it was on such short notice. The suite was compact and functional, with all the necessities readily available. The location was also great--as a tip if you want to go hiking, do not follow the GPS and drive through Mt. Sant'Angelo, but go though Mattinate or, better yet Vieste as the roads are better in my opinion. The host was also very available and kind, and the whole process of getting the keys and accessing the property was easy. Overall, it was a lovely stay near the Umbrian Forest; just the right place for a short getaway from the city.

I don't necessarily think of it as a negative thing towards the property, but just as a recommendation. As the entrance to the villa can be easily missed at night, it could help add a small solar-powered blinking light to the existing "Villa" sign. Just a minor thing, considering the fact that if you miss the entrance, you're forced to go up Mt. Sant'Angelo and back down.

It was lovely through and through. The apartment was well equipped and there was a lot of attention to detail in the decoration. The rooftop terrace was amazing. The kitchen had everything we need to cook. It was probably the best place we stayed in. Highly recommended. Maria is also very helpful and friendly.

We had an appartement with a garden and a small balcony, both with a great view over the countryside and the sea. We loved sitting there have a coffee or a wine in the evening. . The rooms are huge, comfortable and very nice decorated, it's like staying in and castle. In the kitchen you will find everything you might need. The surrounding countryside is great for walking or swimming.

THe location was great for us and it was wonderful to say in a villa. My son also loved playing with another family that was staying at the villa. Maria was also incredibly helpful with suggestions.

The shower had a lot of trouble getting warm, but we got used to it.

The spirit of the Villa. The thick walls that made it cool inside. The inner calm of the Villa that helped your rest. And, of course, the exceptional view from the terrace, especially in sunset, And that lovely sun-fueled light on the terrace table. The Villa is in a very good position just between Mattinata, Manfredonia and Monte Sant Angelo. Perfect.

Villa itself is clean, spacious, very soft and comfortable beds, big terrace with a wonderful view to the sea and olive trees , also very peaceful . Fully equipped kitchen, we found everything we needed for our four days stay. Villa full of authentic features, we loved it. Thanks again!

Maria’s villa is a beautiful place to be for a holiday in Puglia. Awesome views, near to beaches, forests, mountains, villages, peaceful and quiet - the perfect location. The villa is very well equipped with everything you need - really everything! Thanks for the many lovely welcome touches - a good bottle of wine, their own olive oil, coffee, and a few things in the fridge. We enjoyed our stay in a home away from home!
