La Scogliera

Beautiful view from apartment and five minutes from train station on flat pavement. Communication good through messages and easy check in instructions. Host was kind enough to allow us to drop bags that day before checking in since the apartment was not occupied. Washing machine was a plus and it’s located above a coffee shop with great cappuccino and espresso. Grocery store on the other side of train station to purchase eggs, water, fruit and the best homemade ravioli and pesto for a meal at home. The unit was clean but bare bones. Obviously used only as rental since no finishing touches and inexpensive plastic table and outdated couch and bed linens. Bed was uncomfortable and no night blinds. Minimal pots and pans but enough to make a meal. Coffee left but basically empty. No paper towels or toiletries. One large bottle of shampoo left in shower we used as body wash before buying our own soap. Expected to take garbage out but I left it for cleaning crew ( that’s what I pay for in an accommodation). Btw I left unit spotless and ran dishwasher. Exactly two pods left for us. Honestly looks like a rental with a lot of turnover. Value ok but we rented in March and not worth over 300 a night in summer unless you need to be right on the water. Expected to use own Netflix account although would not load. Btw balcony only one unit floor up from main street so lots glances by the many crowds passing through from train station and definitely not private. Traveled extensively in the last 40 years and in my opinion does not deserve close to a 10 rating Cinque Terre is gorgeous and a little slice of heaven. You never want to be inside anyway.

Location was stunning. Better than expected

Host is very responsive and friendly! The ease of accessibility to all of Monterosso and the other Cinque Terre Villages. The beautiful view of the bay from the room/balcony. Three minute walk to train station.

Location was superb.

Oh, my! The view was incredible. The balcony was overlooking the sea. I highly recommend this host and her place. The beds were comfortable and the heating was great. We traveled to Monterosso in February when it is chilly. The shower is nice and it has a good kitchen area with a dishwasher.

Location. Easy walk from train station. Loved the balcony, the view, the ocean waves.

The blue lights from the heat system above the bed were distracting when trying to sleep. I would not recommend traveling out of season. We could not find open restaurants.

Beautiful view of the beach. Soft but comfy bed so slept well. Cafe just underneath. Left coffee and tea. Washing machine was useful.

Decor was a bit dull and depressed the place, which was otherwise great.
