Great location, quiet yet 5 mins to Bowness centre with walks from the door and parking

The apartment was warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. TV remotes easy to use. The view was wonderful.

It was difficult for me to walk up the hill, I hadn't realised it was situated so high. Going downhill was also difficult with lots of wet leaves on the pavement and roads. Ideal though for fit people.

The property was very well located with exceptional views over Lake Windermere. We were provided with a code to a lock box to release the key on arrival at the property. The standard of the property was amazing, extremely comfortable and well looked after. The property was centrally located to attractions, shops, public transport and restaurants. We would definitely look at rebooking in the future.

Nothing. I am writing the review for my 84 year old uncle, I did his booking as he doesn’t have internet. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay at the cottage with his friend.

Exceptionally clean and tidy, comfy bed. Super location, short walk to town and lake. Easy to get the keys from a lock box. Photos didn’t do it justice.

Furniture not to my taste, that’s the only thing I can think of. Lovely little flat.

Good location, close to town and lake Windermere. Apartment was clean, comfortable and well appointed. There was good information about the area available at the property. We did not meet host Allen but communication with him was excellent and he was attentive and friendly. Even told us we need not leave until much later on the last Saturday as he was travelling to the property himself, which helped us get a lovely cooked breakfast in town without rushing around. We had a lovely week and would certainly return.

Access roads the last quarter mile to property were very steep and single track, although that is neither reflection nor blame on the property itself. If you don't mind walking up steep inclines it is not a problem and there was an advised 'easier' alternative way that certainly helped, although still some effort. We are 61 and found it challenging but do-able. Hot water to shower was good and plentiful, and dishwasher provided, but getting hot water otherwise to the sinks in bathroom and kitchen tended to take a long time and not always satisfyingly successful. Neither of these issues adversely affected our enjoyment of the holiday though.

The location was perfect for us set in a quiet area with stunning views, but yet not too far to the town centre. The accommodation catered well to our needs.

The couches in the living room area were not the most comfortable not the worse but would of preferred a corner suite.

Location is great. A short walk down to shops, pubs and the lake but a very quiet place to be away from the crowds. Easy to drive out avoiding the route up through Windermere. The flat is light and bright and very relaxing. Comfortable beds. Good view to the lake.

It would have been useful to have a washing machine and a fitted sheet rather than a flat one would have been more comfortable. But these are very minor issues. The flat is great.

Clean comfortable and convenient location for the lake and nearby facilities, yet far enough up the hill away from the masses, with the added bonus of an easy walk to Brantfell from the doorstep. Modern facilities in the flat with ample cooking utensils should they be required. We only really made use of the cafetiere, the kettle and microwave and the oven to crisp up some croissants from the Tesco Local, but you could cook during a longer stay. Appreciated the notes left by the owner and previous guests on the local walking routes and points of interest

Nothing major, but on a longer stay you may notice the absence of a washing machine. No bathtub either, if that's your preference. The very steep hill could be an issue after a long day out, but the views and headstart on Brantfell made up for it
