RESIDENCIAL DOÑA GLORIA

Host was very friendly. Extremely cheap for quite a nice looking property, looks like it has been newly renovated. Not too far from the bus station.

I found it extremely difficult to focus and sleep due to the almost constant crowing of roosters outside the property. I am surprised no one else seems to mention this in reviews because it was non stop. Also photos and description of the property showed a washing machine which was not in the property. In addition, basic necessities like soap and washing up liquid weren't provided. We had an issue where unfortunately we weren't aware of the fact you can't flush toilet roll in the Dominican Republic so we ended up blocking a drain pipe, causing the toilet to leak. We asked for help and were told to just fix it ourselves with a plunger. After trying for an hour to fix the issue, the bathroom became even more flooded and we decided this combined with the roosters was too much and left the property early.
