Beautiful annex, brilliantly furnished, very welcoming hosts

Lovely cottage, great to have the dog running area. We loved the weekend we had here.

Loved being able to sit outside in the garden. Annexe was spotlessly clean and although compact it had everything you need. Bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great. Owners were very welcoming and we felt like it was home from home. The biscuits and milk were a thoughtful touch.

Nice break away

For the price it was a good little place to stay in. Shower very good and it was nice to have a choice of tv channels after working all day. The heated towel rail dried the towels well and the hair dryer and cupboard were very useful.

The bed was actually quite comfy but the pillows and duvet were not so good. All the bedding I think was ‘easy care’ so did not feel that nice I’m afraid.

Great location, compact but with everything we required

The property was very cosy and had everything you could possibly need. The cookies waiting for us upon arrival was a delicious unexpected treat. There was also a very comprehensive folder which explained how everything worked in the cottage and guides to various towns and walks and eateries in the area.

There wasn’t really anything to dislike.

Sue and Paul are the perfect hosts. The property has everything you need and is really nicely presented.

It was just gorgeous. Cookies and flapjacks to welcome us!!! Lovely Dog blankets provided. Nicer than our own!!!! Quaint and cosy. Perfect for 2 people who really really like each other!! The bed was really comfy and bedding was lovely. The garden has sheep in it! How wonderful is that? Tables and chairs out to look across at the sheep. A confined garden area also right by the hut so safe for dogs to roam with the door open. Sue and Tim were both delightful and easy going. I took my dogs for a walk along the road and found a woodlands with horses and cows and it was just picture perfect. Will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful garden.

It's not that I didn't like it, but there is not a lot of storage so don't pack toooooo much. We left a lot of things in the car so we weren't cramped. You can hang your clothes up and there is drawer space which is fantastic. Trays provided for you to eat on. A fridge and everything you need to Cook. Not a lot of space for food storage that wasn't in the fridge. Again not a complaint, just a heads up. There are no complaints about this shepherds hut. It really was wonderful. You will love staying here.
