Francolin Lodge-Farmstay @ Darima

Everything! Hosts were the highlight of the trip. Staying with Prateek and Preeti was just perfect. Absolutely wonderful hosts, who we spent hours chatting with, exchanging our life’s memories with and gorging on the best home cooked food we’ve ever had on a holiday! The place itself was wonderful and isolated enough that you could truly enjoy the chirping of the birds (we saw a woodpecker too!), and the rustling leaves. Our morning walks were heavenly and Preeti even helped us with a forest walk one of the days which, for us, was the perfect way to vacation. But I’m only getting to the highlight now - their 2 dogs, Ghabru and Ecstasy! They were the life of our holiday and we loved playing with them all throughout! We’re definitely coming back sometime soon!

A very beautiful and serene home, run very efficiently by Preeti and Pratik. Food was home-made and local. And the view from our bedroom was soothing. Thanks once again for being such gracious hosts. Specially as we are senior citizens! We will be back!7

The experience of Francolin is extremely special. The beautiful location, the most amazing home cooked meals, great conversation, and all the help from the host- made for an amazing trip for us

One of the highlights of my trip to the Kumaon region, back in June this year. The stay is so good and peaceful that I don't know where to even start but I will try my best to answer as much as I can. The stay is not properly located in Mukteshwar but rather in a village called Darima some 8kms away from Mukteshwar and that is the best thing about this stay. Its location. Such a secluded place away from the urbanization and commercialization of Mukteshwar. You can explore the nearby villages, trek on the hills nearby, and just roam around nearby wherever you feel like. The hosts are simply unbelievable. Pratik Ji and his wife will take care of you like anything. They are also great people to talk to. I spend some time with them knowing more about them and their lives. They served us delicious dinner and breakfast and listened to all our queries and demands on time. Their helping staff is also very active and alert. They will make sure you have a pleasant time while you stay there. The rooms are very clean and commensurate with the comfort and facilities you get in return for your money. The size is good enough to accommodate two people. The views from the room are very peaceful and amazing. The stars are simply amazing at night. And kudos to Pratik ji for providing such modern facilities in a small village like Darima. Definitely, a place to consider while you are making your plans for Mukteshwar. I could not write everything but I think you get the gist.

The stay was perfect. I don't think there was anything that I didn't like. Keep doing the good work Pratik ji.

Food taste should improve lot more. Pricing of both Room & food should come down.
