Cheverells Farm, Kiku & Braeburn Cottage

Very comfortable bed, amazing views from Kiku cottage and we really enjoyed the indoor kaggel. We enjoyed going to the cafe for coffee and sweet treats.

It was in a beautiful area of the Western Cape. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Cath and Sebourne are great hosts. The apple picking was an awesome experience.

The blurb says there is a Nespresso machine, we brought our own pods and were looking for to the convenience of the Nespresso machine, unfortunately there was not a machine in the cottage.

Nothing we did not like

Beautiful farm with many scenic walking routes. Location is great, close to many wine farms. There is a restaurant on the farm for breakfast (but do make a booking in advance, we almost didn't get breakfast the last day of our stay because it was quite busy. They provide you with one basket of wood should you like to braai or make use of the indoor fireplace (not a braai). The unit is fitted with an alarm. It was really peaceful.

We stayed in the cottages, there are two, but both have the same price. Make sure you stay in Kiku Cottage, as this one has an incredible view of the valley. We stay stayed in Braeburn where you basically just see the back of Kiku Cottage. This was quite a let down for us. The photos also showed a Nespresso machine, but only a kettle was available. The wifi is not great, I had to work there on our first day and was a bit of a struggle.

We loved the cute cottage and beautiful view, as well as walking our dog around the farm
