Quinta das Hortênsias

The views are unbelievably beautiful and the gardens were fantastic. The terrace was large and with plenty of seating, catching the sun all day, so we really enjoyed being able to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings until late in the evening. The kitchen area, although small, had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the apartment was quiet. The host was very welcoming and responsive and we really appreciated the welcoming gift.

The apartment seemed a little tired and although the furniture was beautiful, they weren't comfortable. This meant in bad weather the seating area didn't feel very inviting. The apartment would benefit from updating in parts, so we found it a bit pricey. Also, even though the bed was comfy, it was too short.

Quinta das Hortênsias was an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful place to stay. A great base for various hiking excursions, too.

It's been a very nice and comfortable stay. The views from the exuberant and peaceful garden are great. The host is always taking care of you on WhatsApp and answer any question you may have. With no doubt I recommend this place!

Great location. Very nice view and very quiet. Close to hikes and viewpoints in the north of Madeira. The host is very friendly and recommended a few great places to eat. Highly recommended if you like staying in traditional houses.
