"An off-the-beaten-track gem."

Karetu Downs is in a stunning spot surrounded by a beautiful garden and encircled by hills. It’s totally peaceful except for the farm animals and birds. We were in the Musterers Studio which includes a small kitchen which even includes a small dishwasher so self catering is an option. After a day spent travelling from Sydney it was a completely relaxing place to sit on the verandah and enjoy a beer - accompanied by Wilson the dog.

Leaving after only one night and not having a chance to explore the surroundings.

The breakfast was delivered in a basket which we then prepared. The farm fresh eggs were wonderful. The freshly cooked rhubarb was lovely. Thank you

Everything. It was peaceful, in lovely surroundings and the hosts, Karen and Bruce were fantastic. The unit was well equipped, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing. Wilson, the house dog was also very friendly- and such a cutie!

We couldn't find anything negative to say about Karetu at all. It was amazing.

"Casy beautiful stay with wonderful hosts"

Wonderful warm and welcoming. Karen and Bruce made us so welcome as did Wilson the house dog. There were sheep and lambs, cows and calves, pigs , chickens and ducks. Karen has a beautifully kept garden and we got to help feed some orphaned lambs. Karen has a lovely gift shop, with a wide range of items to purchase. Bruce took us on a tour of the farm which was so interesting and to see the changes in the landscape was great. We stayed in the Musterer’s Cottage which was well equipped and Karen had made sure it was warm when we arrived (cold and rainy day). The bed was comfortable and had electric blanket so we were more than cosy.

Not a problem for us but the last few kilometres was gravel road and narrow coming in from Amberley. Just for those that aren’t used to it just drive stead.
