Loved the countryside location, the room was huge, all the staff, the wine bar/restaurant and the amazing tour of the property, including the animal farm, the store filled with their own produce, cheeses & wines!

The only disappointing time was our last evening where there were several children running around in the formal dining room, then up & down the hallways where the bedrooms were: loud is being polite . I complained to a staff member but it seems the parents where reluctant to stop their own…

Good breakfast. All Products local. Shop to buy local goods - wine, cheese, jogurth, cakes. Very nice pool. Beautiful location. Nice place to immerse into Tuskany.

Once we were there everything was perfect. Lovely setting and room.

Communication was tricky and a bit stressful before arrival. All good once we were there. I would have loved some more vegan options at breakfast - e.g. non-dairy milk.

The farm is in a beautifully peaceful area of the Tuscan countryside and really delivers in terms of tranquility. The property itself is stunning to look at, with a gorgeous courtyard and a pool surrounded by vineyards. We were looking for somewhere to relax in the charming countryside and it definitely offers this.

There were a few things that didn't live up to expectations, which were really down to the price point that Antica Fattoria La Parina prices itself at. For ~£200 per night I would have expected more of a hotel than 'B&B' feel. For example, the service was not as attentive as I would have hoped for the price point. Check in was a short greeting from a member of staff, giving us the keys, and showing us to the room and after that we didn't see any reception staff for the rest of our stay. They were in an office and told us where to find them, and although they were pleasant when we did interact, it didn't really feel like staff were present or attentive during our stay, and really wanted to minimize interactions with guests. One of the most disappointing things unfortunately was the restaurant. Staying on a farm stay, I expected lots of fresh ingredients and use of the farm produce, but dinner was quite a limited menu with very little fresh veg, and a very over priced 12E salad which wasn't fresh or imaginative. Breakfast was even more disappointing, with no fresh fruit at all - even though having seen lots of lovely peaches and fresh fruit in the shop on the other side of the property. There were no hot food options at breakfast, just lots of cakes and pastries making it quite difficult to eat a healthier breakfast too. There was some yogurt, but again, nothing made of the fresh fruits that could be added here. I think one of the most frustrating things about this stay, was that it doesn't feel like the owners are making the most of the potential of the property at all. We read reviews about tours around the farm, the wine cellar etc but on check in weren't told anything about these at all. Likewise, the lack of use - or even communication - about ingredients grown on the farm in the dinner and breakfast menus seems a real shame.

The location is excellent, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away. The hotel grounds are picturesque. One of the highlights was the wine bar in the courtyard, which provided a perfect spot to unwind in the early evenings.

The breakfast was a letdown, especially after reading positive reviews. It was the same buffet every day with no made-to-order options. The staff seemed to give more attention to day guests visiting the winery than to those staying at the hotel. The setting of the pool is beautiful, but its cleanliness was questionable. A robot cleaner for the pool would be a welcome addition, as would more frequent cleaning of the pool chairs and surrounding areas. Traveling with a baby was also challenging as the hotel lacked adequate facilities. There was no suitable high chair, and the provided cot had an unsuitable mattress. With these improvements, the hotel could offer an even better experience.
