Quinta do Basalto

A localização desde alojamento é simplesmente fenomenal. Com vista para o mar e a Ilha de São Jorge, é o sítio perfeito para quem quer descansar. O apartamento correspondia às fotografias, estava limpo e bem equipado. A casa de banho tinha umas dimensões razoáveis. A cozinha estava bem equipada. Não usámos, mas havia uma churrasqueira no exterior, comum, e era possível lavar roupa. Se alguma vez voltar ao Pico, é quase certo que voltarei a escolher o mesmo sítio. Foi mesmo muito agradável.

Não tenho propriamente nada negativo a dizer, mas gostava de deixar duas sugestões: - a luz do exaustor estava avariada, e é mesmo muito necessária; - a casa de banho precisava de um toalheiro para a toalha de rosto.

A very pleasant house in a rural setting with great ocean views. The house is well equipped and the bbq facility is a really nice plus. It's excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

This is a magical place with an ocean view and very comfortable accommodations. The apartment is spacious, clean, and fresh, with a kitchen equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Parking in the yard is easy. While the location is somewhat remote, it is extremely beautiful and peaceful. The host was very helpful and caring. There is a barbecue area, but we didn't use it since there are a few nice restaurants nearby.

Great Accomodation with nice view and BBQ facilitiy at the far end of Pico island. Very calm surrounding and amazing view to São Jorge.

Since there is a BBQ it would be great to provide basic things to BBQ that could be used by many people (e.g. lighter, salt, oil were things we needed to buy).

We really liked the location and how nicely everything was equipped and decorated.

It is such a shame that this beautiful property is being left to be ruined. The humidity within is extremely high! In the first apartment that we stayed in for 3 days, the linens, floors, absolutely everything is damp and with a very heavy musty smell. Not healthy! We requested a move, and we were moved to another unit ( Thank you, Rui ) that we were able to tolerate, however it still had many of the same problems with humidity. It is such a shame as it is a beautiful location and it is evident that the owners originally invested highly to make it nice. The units have quality linens, nice quality mattress, very nice kitchen with everything needed to cook meals. (except no drain board for dishes) It seems a rather simple fix to install dehumidifiers!, as they have in the laundry area. Also, removing the long pile area rugs that are a breeding for everything. I truly hope that the ownership does something to save this place before it is ruined! 😒
