Farmstay Okakeua

A beautiful farm. Farmhouse an oasis in the dry area. Merisa an outstanding host. Dinner was outstanding!

Definitely our best stay in Namibia!! It is worth deviating slightly from the main tourist routes to spend one or more nights in this fantastic farm pampered by Merisa. Going to Etosha or returning to the capital give yourself this opportunity. From the location, to the cleanliness, to the proposed activities, to the kindness of the staff and availability, everything was truly perfect. But the best thing is the food: dinner and breakfast unforgettable in quality and quantity, again definitely our best meals in Namibia! It would be 11 out of 10, but unfortunately it is not possible..

We loved our stay at Farmstay Okakeua! Merisa is by far the best host I have encountered so far. And she’s also an amazing cook! She went out of her way to make us feel at home and gave us the perfect ending to our Namibia trip.

wonderful stay in this place! Merisa is a great host, very attentive. the rooms are very well laid out and decorated, there is really a sense of detail. dinners and breakfasts are excellent. Merisa cooks fine and elaborate dishes based on farm products. dinner and breakfast are the best we had during our 3 weeks stay in Namibia. It is a perfect place to stay the day of your arrival or departure in Namibia or to spend a few days in a typical Namibian farm.

We had a wonderful stay for one night. Merisa is a super friendly host, the place is like a little oasis and the food is freshly cooked with products from the farm. The distance from Windhoek is very good after the long flight (2,5 h Airport - Farmstay). We highly recommend this beautiful place!

Merisa is a very warm hostess who made the stay at the farm very special. She took us for a drive around the farm and told us many interesting things about life on the farm. Merisa cooks wonderfully and dinner and breakfast are superb. You feel very welcome as a guest. There are only two rooms on the farm and the pool, lapa and garden are beautiful and very well maintained. Merisa was also able to give us many tips for our further stay. Thank you very much! We will be happy to come again.

Everything was more than we expected. We felt like in a private luxury stay with a private chef and guide. Merisa is such a friendly host, excelent chef, best sundowner guide and we had great conversations and the best time there. The farm itself and the appartment with the pool and the eating area are absolutely stunning and better maintained than a luxury hotel. Everything was beyond neat and clean. We also got very good coffee and cookies when we arrived. Chocolate raisins were lying on our bed with personalized logos from the farm. There is a lot of love in every detail at the place and at everything Marisa does. We had the perfect sundowner drive around the farm, learned a lot about the area and the farm itself had a really delicious dinner and breakfast … Whats there more anyone could ask for. If we come to Namibia again we will def. come back, this was one of our fav. stays on our whole three week trip.

Amazing! it was our last night in Namibia and best. Best food, best hospitality. Must visit accommodation. Very easy access from Windhoek.
