Olive Cottage

It is in a great location. Authentic, I loved the farm cottage vibe. I would come again, maybe with friends.

No much contact with host other than the automated message with the details about the property. I would have love an A4 size or flip folder that tells you more about the cottage, the farm, the area and any tourist attraction.

Das Cottage liegt in einer traumhaften, ruhigen Gegend etwas außerhalb von Franschhoek. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Ausblick ist einfach atemberaubend. Ein perfekter Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Gerne wären wir länger geblieben . Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die sehr aufmerksame , hilfsbereite Art des Owners Lance. Keine Wünsche blieben offen. Auf Nachfragen hat er sich sofort gekümmert. Für seine Fürsorge danken wir ihm sehr!

Great option for self-catering accommodation about 7-10 minutes from Franschhoek. Comfortable beds and tastefully appointed bedrooms, good kitchen facilities. You're on a secure farm with coded gates for access. Host, Lance, is available by phone and the check-in process is well managed. Payment for the stay is direct with Lance which we handled via PayPal without a hitch. Lance also had many recommendations for the area and that meant less time in the cottage and more on the wine farm. That's what we planned! If you plan to stay indoors and retreat for days/evenings at a time you'll have the view, and beautiful surroundings, while the cottage is basic and functional. A little research in the area will show you luxury accommodation available at a different budget, here you have comfortable accommodation and facilities at an unbeatable price. Also unbeatable, the view. You are surrounded by mountains. Birdlife and the animals from the farm are not far away.

Great to open the french doors of the bedroom looking out on to the farm and watch the cows wandering by, great view.

Beautiful location, pleasant distance from town. Clean house, comfortable bed. Good bbq facility and nice to eat on the verandah. Requests for missing kitchen, laundry items promptly fulfilled.

Very basic/rustic. Inadequate kitchen utensils. Uncomfortable sitting room furniture. Expensive by comparison with less basic places we stayed. Very limited space for toiletries in the bathroom.

Beautifull little house with all you need.

This is a beautifull place but the owner can do some work on the interior - its got so much potential. Some wood for the fire place just to get started will be nice. Bedding is old and needs a revamp.
