Willow cottage with private hot tub

All the above. Good value, hot tub was fun. Facilities good and clean.

The many notices about NOT doing various things. Worded officiously and unfriendly.

we stayed at the willow cottage from the 3rd to the 5th of July. lovely stay but we did come across a few issues, most of which could have been easily rectified with better cleaning standards immediately before check ins. the hot tub was great, very relaxing. despite the issues, we had a great holiday and the roaches cafe up the road is great, especially for a much needed cup of tea some wonderful walks in the surrounding areas. the cottage and hot tub still felt like a welcome break from everything and was still a wonderful experience. we would definitely stay here again if some of the issues were resolved.

the shower was difficult to turn on as the plastic guard was missing on the pressure dial, this lead to several small cuts in my fingers and thumbs whenever I used the shower. the extractor fan on hob doesnt work or if it does, there are no instructions on how to use it and it has not been serviced in years. the hot tub was great, very relaxing. however, the filters could be cleaned more often as upon our first use of it, when jets went off, several clumps of hair and other debris floated out of the top of the filter. As an arachniphobe, I was upset to find approximately 10 spiders in the bedroom alone, and several others in other rooms of the cottage. this could have been avoided if the rooms were dusted or vacuumed before check in. the bathroom floor is carpeted which can hold a lot of bacteria and other disease causing pathogens so seriously hope it gets properly cleaned and disinfected between visitors. the kettle is a health hazard. needs throwing away and a new one getting. there is a brown line where i assume it is either burned or has been used for something other than water and has white limescale and/or mold covering it inside. the small window in the bathroom is slightly unsettling as you can see right into the downstairs cottage's hot tub and we werent too sure how much you could see of people in the bathroom from outside. Also, be warned, they dont tell you that the road to the property is an unmade, single lane, gravel road which in hindsight was a strong possibility given it is on a farm but would have been nice to have known prior to booking. there are also several dangerous roads surrounding it, which again, might seem obvious in hindsight but would have been a good thing to put in the description somewhere.

Amazing cottage! So cosy and facilities were amazing. Really good value for money and very comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Really clean and easy to find, wish we had more time there to enjoy it a bit more

The information was in the corner in the dark and hard to see, would’ve just been better if it was in a booklet on the table rather than 2 pieces on the dining table and 3 stuck to the walls in the corner. This meant we didn’t know we had to turn the boiler on when trying to shower and searching for 10 minutes first

Hosts not very friendly or welcoming, quite abrupt in communications. No hot water when we first arrived. The hot tub was at 40• with no way to change it, meaning it was too hot to stay in for longer than ten mins. Random pack of cheese in one of the drawers that had grown mould, guessing this had been left by previous guests but care had not been taken to remove this upon cleaning. Bedding had an unpleasant damp smell.

Lovely location and great value for money. Very comfy bed and good facilities

Quite limited on light in the cottage due to the small windows. Cozy in the winter although quite dark in the summer we found. Shower in need of some attention as did the hot tub area.
