Z Ranch

We liked the relaxing setting and the access to the local towns was easy and not too far away. The large variety of animals was impressive and they all seemed happy and well taken care of. The heater worked well and the bedding was cozy.

I think upgrading the pots and pans to stainless steel would make for healthy cooking. And an electric tea kettle and teas would be nice too. Also the a cozier couch would be a nice addition.

Loved the friendly cats that checked in on us throughout the stay! There was a Christmas event, so we enjoyed music, a couple vendors, and meeting some of the farm animals. The room was very quiet, cozy, and private with its own patio space. Very comfortable bed. Nice to have a little kitchen. Big metal tub was cool too.

The location was close to the event we were at and close to downtown Templeton. It was easy to find and the bed was comfortable. The room stayed warm even when it was 34 degrees outside.

The room was smaller than expected, it smelled like bug spray and the shower - made out of a converted metal tub - leaked on the floor and the diverter in the shower needs some work. I also thought there might be a chance to meet some of the animals but this wasn't something offered.

We had a wonderful stay at the Z Ranch! It was clean, comfortable, and full of charm. There were animals all over the ranch and it was so special to be in the midst of it all! Would highly recommend staying here for a weekend or more if you have the time!

Everything!! It was just amazing. The Farmhouse had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfy and the view from the terrace was stunning. Horse trail riding with Mazie was the highlight of our stay. She knew which horse would suit each of us and we felt safe all through the ride. Alice is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble. She even took the boys to feed the cows (which they loved). They now want to live on a ranch!! I would recommend Z Ranch in a heartbeat. We wished we had booked to stay for longer. Thank you Alice Mazie and Eddie. ❤️
