Castello di Viano

The views were superb- even in the rain and mist the property looked breathtaking. We dealt with Erica and she made sure we were comfortable; she gave us a tour of the grounds, got us extra pillows, and recommended an exceptional nearby restaurant as well as a local artisanal balsamic producer where we had a private tour and tasting.

The privilege of staying in a castle built in 1100 means that you also deal with a few things you wouldn’t find in other modern hotels- the common areas were a little bit drafty and the property is not accessible for those with mobility issues. These trade-offs were absolutely worth it for us!

L'étroitesse du chemin d'accès (mais pas améliorable car typique d'un accès à un château installé sur un promontoire). Petit conseil: réviser la marche arrière en montée :-)

Erstklassiger Service. Sehr, sehr schöne herrschaftliche Unterkunft, die sehr gepflegt ist. Der 360 Gradblick ist einmalig. Parkplatz auf dem Gelände. Täglicher Zimmerservice. Wir empfehlen auch abends im Kastell zu essen - es lohnt sich, die regionalen Spezialitäten der Saison auszuprobieren.

The castle is amazing. The remodeling was done perfectly. The rooms are simple but large. Terrasses are unbelievable… The place deserve a 10! Laura welcomes the guest agreeably.

When you go to this kind of property, you expect to have good food and to taste what they produce. The food was average, small portion and expensive. The service was not pleasant.
