Sanfern Downs Cottage

We had no breakfast. We were looking forward for the bread. But unfortunately, there was an emergency, so we must come back and taste the bread☺

They are off the grid and it was raining all day so hot water was not very hot

The cottage is located in a quiet forest. The bed linen was clean and 100% cotton. The place is off-grid, so no load shedding

The bathroom could do with some renovation

We had a lovely stay. The room was bigger than expected and has a fireplace and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful.

Megan you are lovely, beautiful walks around the forest, nice gardens, nice central location

Better signage is needed. Perhaps an arrow on the large sign by the entrance road at Pot & Plough. Pin location to the property does not match the location, please adjust that. We are dog lovers but they were dogs barking on arrival was distracting as we could not talk to Megan until they were quiet which took a while. Can I just suggest that they are put in a dog run when you have arrivals or do checks ins. One of the larger dogs also tried to bite me on Sunday morning when returning from a walk so this could become an issue if it does actually bite someone. Just a few maintenance points to look at - A globe in the kitchen was out, no water on Friday night. The shower door got stuck and I was stuck in the shower LOL and the sliding door to the bathroom is temperamental. I found the rate we paid for what we got did not quite match other properties in the Magoebaskloof area but affordable nonetheless.
