Headboard of rusty corrugated iron not to our taste. No microwave oven to warm up food.

I look for two main things when I go to a place like this: (1) Bed must be comfy. (2) Shower must work properly. In both cases at Watermill Farm I was pleasantly surprised as both were perfect. Shower floor was a bit rough for my wife though. I was ok with it.

I was happy with everything. My wife did not like the shower floor. (To rough for her feet)

Unique setting way off the beaten track. Lovely quaint historic cottage accommodation. Picture perfect dam.

Midges!! Take loads of bug spray for sitting outside

It is close to town and the venue is one of a kind. We loved all the animals that came to visit us. One of them slept with us. It was very special. Thanks so much!!

The "muggies"....flying insects that come at dusk and bite the living daylights out of you if you're unprepared. Will not happen next time....hopefully sooner than later.

Beautifully remote location and cottages were refurbished to an excellent standard. Really enjoyed our stay, went for walks and just chilled in the Karoo! Happy to go back again.

The fireplace was smoking into the house so it meant we couldn't use that but the house was actually quite warm so we didn't really miss it. We chatted to the folk about it & we understand that's what you get with really old cottages like this. Next time we'll see if we can get one of the cottages with a wood burning iron stove :)

Wonderful location. Loved the dogs and the geese and the view of the dam. The house was charming and fully equipped.
