Quinta do Outono

Great location, friendly host and clean modern house.

The place is very well situated. It has a very cozy warm feeling. The view from the Quinta is beautiful. The owners are welcoming and always quickly available to help you if you need anything. The breakfast was great.

Staying at Quinta do Outono was one of the highlights of our 5 week Portugal trip. Jose and Anabella are welcoming, natural hosts and owners of this well cared for property, located in a peaceful location that provides an excellent base and respite from surrounding activities. We could not wait to return to rest, sit by the pool or in the garden after a day out. They provide delicious breakfasts and other excellent meals on request. The dinner we requested for our arrival evening was superb! As the owners are there, (like a real bed and breakfast used to be!) all needs are easily met and great advice or tips can be given. The guest rooms are private and spacious. An authentic gem, we hope to return!

Lovely setting! Jose and Annabella were perfect hosts! Breakfast was yummy too! We really appreciated suggestions for nearby adventures. They even prepared a special vegetarian dinner to acommodate our diet! Highly recommend!

BEWARE WHILE BOOKING THIS PROPERTY. HIGH CHANCES THEY WOULD ASK YOU TO CANCEL!!!! Well, we never got to stay at the property. We booked it and through booking.com and while we were on our way to the property, the owner called us and told that the room we booked were not available and started talking about some alternate arrangements which sounded fishy to us. When asked more details/photos, his point was that come all the way to the property and check for yourself. SERIOUSLY!! Our travel was spoiled because we had to cancel and make alternate arrangements on the go. About the refund: Since provider refused to provide the accommodation that was originally booked. we had to cancel and should have been fully refunded. but after a week or so when the refund did not arrive, i reached out to the provider and was told that reach out to booking.com and there might be a 20% cancellation fee. I had to call booking wait 1 hour on the call to get it all sorted and go through this horrible experience. Booking.com and the provider are responsible for the mess because if the property wasn't available than why were we able to book it at the first place.

We had a lovely stay for two nights at the quinta run by Anabela and Jose. They are great hosts, resourceful and welcoming. They build a very nice house with gardens, pools in a pretty surrounding with vineyards and views over the Douro Valley. We enjoyed the hospitality, great breakfasts and one homecooked evening meal, delicious local food, wine and tasty Port.

This was a typical European affair. Great bread and croissants, home made jelly, hot tea, coffee, hot milk, ham and cheese with and orange juice chaser.

Loved meeting the host and hostess along with other guests from around the world. The view from the room was wonderful and it was close to many vineyards

Beautiful view from our balcony, very helpful staff, and location was near where we needed (Armamar). Comfortable room with refrigerator that worked well.

Sometimes a shortage of lounge chairs at pool. Breakfast was good, but simple and did not change over our extended visit.
