The fireplace was really useful for the cold weather and made the cottage cozy. We loved the electric blankets on all the beds keeping us nice and warm during the very cold June stay

Whilst the loadshedding was outside the owners control, there could have been much better communication regarding it and maybe ways to try and mitigate the discomfort beyond just a few extra candles. The oven was not working at all, the toaster element only worked on one side. The crockery and cutlery was basic and minimal and not even clean. The provided lighter only worked the first day. No provided tea/ coffee which is a basic amenity for self catering. One ply toilet paper. Whilst we made due….All in all not worth the money spent. When traveling to Ceres side we will rather choose a different establishment

I did not know that a cherry tree could have so many cherries to pick!! Enjoy picking the red cherries

Nice walk around the orchards.

Excessive noise from a heavy duty water pump for the irrigation of the farm 20 metres away from the cottage. The whole idea of staying in a farm is to experience the tranquility of rural area, especially at night. Pump was switched off late the first two nights and third night it stayed on permanently. Reported this and never got a reply from the owner. Person in charge of the accommodation only replied two hours later saying that someone was on his way to switch off and it was never switched off.

The house was big and comfortable. We were a group of 8 adults, and space was not an issue. Loved the revamp from our previous stay. Everything that was needed was available. Braai, wood, all kitchen utensils.

The water sometimes was an issue, hot and cold splutters. The bathrooms are very dated. The window handles does not function very well.

Great farm stay. Friendly and helpful staff. It was fun picking our own cherries and going through the packing facility. Very informative tour by an enthusiastic guide. The cottage was well equipped with more kitchen utensils than usually found. It was great sitting outside and there are a number of available benches. The red-knobbed coots and chicks were an amazing sighting. All in all it was well worth the trip and the money spent.

For some the bed might be too hard but it was how we prefer it.
