Spacious, fresh rooms with amazing beds. You feel instantly relaxed. Great staff with a friendly, personal approach. Amazing views on the sea. It is good to realise that this location is off the beaten track. This offers an magical feeling of seclusion but it also means that you cannot easily go to other locations, restaurants or shops because they are not nearby.

Amazing, remote place on Sao Jorge island. If you are looking for a calm place, with ocean as your neighbour – it’s a great spot. Host is helpful, it’s quiet. It is important to know, that you don’t have a regular street connected to this place – you have to make a short hike from the parking place. Strongly recommended!

Le personnel et l'accueil sont parfaits. Les repas sont simples mais bons. La situation géographique au bout du monde est très agréable.

L'accès à la mer est dangereux. Une des deux chambres n'avait qu'une petite fenêtre. L'éclairage de la chambre avec de la lumière très blanche n'est pas très agréable.

So we finished our vacation in the Azores and I had to write about this amazing place called Abrigo Cascata, which made us feel both at home, in a luxury resort, and in peace and quiet from another world. Anita and Silvie welcome everyone with warmth and great love, you immediately know you are in good hands, the rooms are large and luxurious with an amazing view of the sea and of course the beautiful Pico volcano that you can never stop looking at. We had both breakfast and dinner there and it was a great pleasure to be filled with the peace and tranquility that the place offers

Anita was absolutely amazing, she was our private chef for our stay as we were the only ones there at the time of our booking. We had wonderful conversations with her and could have chatted the whole time we were there. The meals were exceptional, fit for a king. Sylvia the property manager was very delightful and made our stay so comfortable, we also could have chatted with her for our entire stay. She was very helpful in telling us what to do and see, which we enjoyed fully.

We loved the location, not easy to get to but once there, so enjoyable. As with all properties in the azores, upkeep is continuous. Weekly maintenance is needed but not always possible due to the climate.

Amazing place to stay, located in a remote part of the island. Ideal if you are looking for calm and beautiful landscapes. Room was very nice and clean, very comfortable and pretty. The best part is the amazing staff, Silvia and Anita, who put their heart in this place. Thank you for your generosity and all the amazing food. We strongly recommend this place and we will be back!
