Abrigo da Cascata - Casas de Campo - São Jorge

The location and our lovely host. The weather was really difficult the day we reached but our lovely host made sure we reached safe and even offered a heart warming quick meal for us. All the restaurants and grocery store were closed by the time we reached and that was a really nice gesture. The property itself is magical. It is built right next to the Sea by a waterfall and there are some walking trails around. It is beautiful and must be experienced.

The room that we were in had a connecting door to some other room that was not closed properly or the wall was too thin, we could always hear the guests in the room next to ours.

Peaceful and dreamy, I loved everything about Abrigo da Cascata. Modern room and heavenly comfortable bed, in an historical building with lovely, manicured grounds. Helpful owner and staff were a delight. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and the calls of the shearwater birds were my favorite.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is beautiful and peaceful , with amazing views of the ocean. The breakfast was exceptional and plentiful and we ate a delicious evening meal cooked by our friendly host every night. Would highly recommend.

Silvia and her staff made our stay a most enjoyable one. We had two delicious evening meals, and every day began with a full breakfast of regional food. This is a secluded hide-a-way at the end of dirt road which, for us, added to its charm.

Everything! We had a long day before arrival and needed help in finding the property, the host was wonderful in her directions and so welcoming on arrival. The room was stunning, and the view incredible, what a glorious sunset. We had evening dinner here and it was the most perfect evening. We hope to return one day.

Small hidden paradise. overlooking Pico island and with a waterfall right next to it but very well merged into the property. Breakfast and dinner were perfect with local products. Whole staff was super friendly

Location-remote buildings and grounds beautiful Host-dynamic,spoke fluent english,arti ulate Staff were skilled and friendly. Just a over nighter so unable to comment on The trails. Views were #1 Highly recommend

The place is amazing on a remote location right on the ocean. Very nicely made and beautifully decorated rooms and the whole complex. It's a small complex of 5 rooms. It really offers tranquility and serenity and you can enjoy nature and the ocean. Had breakfast and dinner on the terrace listening to the waga waga birds talking to each other and the waves of the ocean. Really an amazing place. The staff is great and Silvia and her team were very welcoming and helpful. They helped carrying the luggage and even prepared packed breakfast when we left as we were leaving early. Very friendly and also provided useful information about things to do on the island. We had dinner there and it was amazing.Also tried the local wine (Atlantis) which was also great. Definately the place to stay if you are visiting Sao Jorge and you are looking for something special. It should be noted that the place is remote and you have to take a dirty road and park the car 450m away but it definitely worths it.

Nothing really. Everything was great. If I had to mention something that would be that dinner dishes to be cooked were the same for the two nights we spend there...but the choice of dining there was ours.
