We had a great time with Leonel and Elda. Homemade Madeire wine as a welcome gift and fresh eggs from the chickens every day and a beautiful view from our own terrace. The apartment was stylishly renovated and has a beautiful garden with swimming pool. Good base for trips to the north side of the island. Nice swimmingpool

Beautiful location. Great host who met us and gave us loads of info and good local places to visit away from all the busy touristy areas. Delish local wine and great poncha bars near by.

A beautiful, quirky chalet in Saint Vincent. It was a real pleasure to meet Leonel and his two lovely cats. He was very friendly and makes delicious Madeiran wine! I hope to return soon.

Very special place! Good wine, fresh eggs with herbs from garden in the morning, beautiful scenery (calm place but at the same close to everything… ), spacious, clean and nicely decorated accommodation PLUS a very kind owner. We were always happy to come back from our daily tours and enjoy the place at least a bit. We were only sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

Elda and Leonel's accommodation is truly magnificent. São Vicente and the north coast of the island are spectacular, this is the perfect location to take in all of the area has to offer. Leonel is a local, so is an expert on the area (great recommendations for food, drinks, hiking trails, and swimming spots). I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Elda, but the design features of the property (for which I believe she is responsible for) are excellently unique. It's a comfortable space to spend downtime, with stunning views from the balcony and a pristine pool to lounge by. The property is perfectly located within a two minute walk of São Vicente village, and a further five minutes to the seafront (which hosts more options for bars, cafes, and restaurants). Leonel provided both a transportation service to and from Funchal, as well as a bicycle rental service, both at a very reasonable cost. These additional services helped make my stay extra special and hassle-free respectively. I was also given a generous sample of Leonel's homemade Madeira wine, which was succulent and sweet as well as fresh eggs from the chickens they keep on site. Elda and Leonel's two cats also wander around the property. They are friendly, gentle, and affectionate; good company all in all. I endured both calm sunny days and stormy downpours while in São Vicente. Regardless of the conditions, I always felt that I was in the perfect place to enjoy my holiday.
