This rondavel is super cosy and very well equipped, we loved it. Beautiful grounds with nice braai and wash-up area, the views are great and the sun comes in early. You can't fault this place on anything in my opinion. Owner James is perfect with his info and very friendly too and so are his dogs! Some spectacular hiking trails at Monks Cowl only 4km down the road. Perfect stay!

Fantastic location - especially if visiting the Drakensburg Boy School. The view from the room was stunning and the hosts and their furry family were wonderful. Exceptional value for money.

We had a really good time here with very accommodating owners and lovely dogs. Would definitely recommend it!

The host was very friendly and welcoming. He assisted us with almost everything we requested. The venue was conveniently very close to Drakensberg Boys School, just across the road, but unfortunately far from eMseni Camp where we were also going for our kids music festival. Too many options where you can buy food For a quiet and private outing, Swallowfield is the place to go. We planning to go back for a longer stay so that we can explore many activities

I wish the shower extension can have a hook above, to give a comfortable option of using it, unlike bathing while holding it. Also wish there can be a privacy in the bathroom for when doing number 2, like closing the open areas, if that is too much to ask, maybe an outside loo can do... nothing frustrating than suppressing yourself when you trying to relieve yourself, lol N.B. Drive safe, the road is small with potholes here and there.

Absolutely everything was just perfect for our 1 night stay.

The rondavel was surprisingly spacious considering it's size, well-designed and with everything you needed. The hosts were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The location could not be bettered.

The only thing we would have liked would be a stand-up shower in the bath or bathroom.
