Appelsbosch Guest Farm

Beautiful views and lots of birds. We went for a nice walk in the forrest. Very spacious.

The View

We loved that the house was on a farm - Our son loved watching the tractors and the cows. Unfortunately it was raining so we were not able to explore the farm, but we will definitely be back in the future!

The view was magical.

The cement floors need some major TLC. The bed is uncomfortable, The outdoor furniture not very inviting and uncomfortable with a few spider webs. Reluctant to walk around on the farm due to the many baboons which we were informed about. Ok

Everything about Applesbosch exceeded my expectations. Seamless, easy check-in and check-out. Brilliant amenities, communication from the owners, location close to town, and comfort. The farm itself is beautiful. Even though you’re close to the other cottage, it’s honestly not noticeable at all. Wonderful stay for us and we’ll be back.

There is nothing that I can think of. One thing is maybe a small pot for cooking small amounts of water (not sure if I didn’t find it though).

I loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere on this part of the farm. Near Swellendam if you need anything or want to dine at a Restaurant. The baboons and their little ones were very entertaining. They never came near our accommodation but we could see them in the fields near the accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. Thanks for the drinking water! We never saw the owners or hosts but it was nice to be on our own and enjoy a private stay. There is a lovely dam on the farm and fishing is allowed. Didn't catch anything but was still nice to try. The unit was clean and the fireplace a plus for us.

Everything was to our liking. Loved using the Lock box to get our key. It is sometimes nice to just book in and out without contact with the Hosts or Owners.
