"Off the busy road and into the valley for a peaceful stopover"

9.0

A peaceful respite from the truck-filled road between Durban and Joburg. The lovely stone Aloe cottage has everything one needs for a comfy stay. Crisp linen on the bed was wonderful. Cecile prepared a delicious Mac n Cheese for our dinner and we ordered the breakfast basket. Sitting outside enjoying the view and seeing the curious sheep in the field next to the cottage was so lovely.

"Great halfway stop! A humble place with beautiful landscapes surrounding the cottage!"

7.0

Great location for a half way stop between JHB and Durban, especially if you appreciate being out of the buzz and on a quite farm! Tranquility!

It is a lovely place with great scenery and nice and quiet. Host is friendly and food was good. Very good value for money for a quiet getaway. I would recommend just one thing if you go take ground coffee along to use the plunger provided for a great cup of morning coffee with that farm scenery.

It is lovely farm with welcoming hosts (+ dogs) and amazing scenery around it. Our cottage was very spacious and cozy, especially with the fireplace at in the evening. We enjoyed the recommended walk in the nearby fields, short interactions with friendly animals, horse ride and the cooking of the host. It is quite relaxing spot, and the host has made an effort to make you feel comfortable with attention to details. The farm is conveniently reachable by car. We also tried to reach some of the Drakenbergen's parks, but be prepared for 1-2h drive in each direction.

"Peaceful, modern and rustic looking with everything you need and more. Wanted to stay longer!"

9.0

We did not have breakfast there. I liked the farm feel about the space and we were able to take a long walk and come close to the farm animals. It had a welcoming feeling and we enjoyed the mixture of rustic and modern clean look with beautiful linen and electric blankets.

The fireplace smoked a lot and we needed to open a whole lot of windows to get rid of the smoke. That was a disappointment.

"Wyford Farm delight"

10.0

The beautiful setting was a delight and the quaint cottage was lovely.

Not enough kindling! It was only for one night but I used all the kindling in the fireplace and also from the braai. Nothing for the next morning 😕 Also no WiFi and my partner missed the rugby as there want any TV. The bed was tiny (compared to what we are used to!) but understandable, given the tiny cottage.
