The staff were friendly. The place was clean. There was a heater in the room.

The food menu is limited. They didn’t refill our coffee and sugar sachets in the morning. There was not enough complementary wood. There was no WiFi.

A perfect place for the Italian term “La Dolce far Niente”

The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and we had everything we needed - including a wood-fired hot tub. The nights were dark and quiet, the beds comfortable, and the sleep was deep.

The property is beautiful and caters for everyone.

The restaurant experience wasn’t as expected. It feels like you are being forced into taking up each day’s set menu and when you don’t the choice is with the restaurants ‘walk-in’ menu. The walk-in menu offers 5 choices of which we ordered the steak & chips twice at R295 each. Each time the steak was a poor cut and badly prepared. With due respect not worth the money at all. At a premium price one would expect a premium steak. We observed a few patrons sending back their food; Not what we were expecting- maybe also consider broadening the scope of the menu to cater for cyclists (active) people like the options on the lunch menu being made available for dinner as well.

The staff was friendly and also the room were good. It had all the things a person need for been away from the city noise. City breaks indeed. I enjoyed myself

It's very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature.

Less variety of the menu

The food is exceptional! The location is perfect for an active getaway- some of the best cycling and hiking routes. You truly experience the Bushveld in all its glory - pure and unspoilt! I have extended my stay with a day just to spend more time here. It was exciting and active, but also restful.

Management has paid attention to the finest details.... there was nothing that I didn't like.
