Suikerbosskuur Rondavel & Chalet

Het is een prachtige rustige locatie waar je niets anders hoort dan de vogels en de wind. Heerlijk rustig op een afgelegen gebied. Je denkt dat je alleen op de wereld bent. Wij sliepen in de rondawel. Dat is natuurlijk wel echt Afrikaans. Heel mooi.

Voor degene die dat belangrijk vinden, er is geen internet.

Le cadre est magnifique. La maison est bien équipée. Nous avons été très bien reçu. Du bois était coupé pour faire un feu de cheminée.

Il a fait froid mais nous étions en hiver.

Lovely location. Very peaceful. The Rondavel 🛖 was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, the pillows fantastic and there was a heated blanket which was much needed. We were warm and cosy and slept well. Stovetop was efficient and plenty of crockery and mugs etc. A nice breakfast given. Towels were huge and really thick and soft.

The description said there was a microwave but there wasn’t. We asked for an evening meal, as per the booking description but these are not an option now (booking needs updated). Not a problem, we bought food to prepare our own meal. There was no sharp knife of any sort and no can opener. Not a problem for us as we also carry camping equipment and so we had our own, but if we didn’t have anything that might have proved tricky. I almost brought food that would have required the use of the microwave but luckily I didn’t. Again, update the booking description because for us, when booking a property, all these things are really important to know. The shower was lovely and hot in the evening but my husband only had a luke warm shower in the morning. There was no hot water for washing up and so we boiled a kettle. There was a hot water tank so not sure why the water had run out. If we’d both wanted showers in the morning this would have been an issue.

Excellent hospitality. Beautiful rondavel with a complete kitchen and bath. We have been traveling around South Africa and this is by far the best value for money we ave found

A door on the shower might be useful although for couples this is not an issue

Suikerbosskuur was a relaxing getaway with awesome views and laid back atmosphere.

I like the home , was clean , and for your information it’s in the farm area , so try to get in there in the day time , it’s really dark at night and the place is weird for the strangers. The home arranged very well and full equipped, I loved the heated mattresses, it was very cold and I have enjoyed on this mattress
