Kwetu Guest Farm

In dieser Unterkunft hat Ma tatsächlich Giraffen, Gnus, Impalas und vieles mehr „im Garten“. Das war ein absolutes Highlight! Die Unterkunft an sich ist recht in die Jahre gekommen, für ein bis zwei Nächte völlig in Ordnung und für die Aussicht ist es das wert.

Fenster ließen sich nicht richtig schließen. Das Frühstück bestand aus Brot/Toast, Eiern, viel Fleisch, Reibekäse und ein kleines Glas Orangenmarmelade. Nicht optimal für Vegetarier und nichts zum wirklich satt werden.

Die Lage war mega. So friedlich/ruhig mitten in der Natur. Die Tiere (inklusive Giraffen) ließen sich vom Balkon, zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto beobachten. Auch als Homebase für den De Hoop Nationalpark empfehlenswert.

Die Einrichtung/Ausstattung ist vllt. etwas in die Jahre gekommen bzw. eher rustikal.

Localización excelente en una granja cerca de un pequeño game drive. La habitación era pequeñita pero con todo lo necesario, contaba también con barbacoa en la terraza. Tuvimos la suerte de ver a los animales muy cerca :)

Very hospitable host. On arrival we walked 4 km around the game farm..you can drive too. That was a lovely experience. We had all the ingredients left in the fridge for a cooked breakfast. The giraffes were wonderful and the family of 4 sauntered down to the fence by the garden so we could watch them. There is an abundance of wildlife. We had avery pleasant stay.

The room was a bit weary, but everything was clean

We had a lovely stay at Kwetu. We loved seeing the giraffes every day and driving around the farm to see all the other animals. The apartment had everything one might need. We enjoyed looking at the landscape and animals from the terrace. We even had a peacock visit us every day :) Swellendam is close by so we would go there for dinner.

Leider konnten wir die Terrasse abends nicht nutzen, da mit Sonnenuntergang Käfer und Mücken kamen

Animals and the senior staff welcomed us. Location was good.

Very old, dated needs updating. Needs good cleaning. Bedding wear not clean specially pillow protections had heavy stains on them. I couldn’t sleep had to wrap pillows with towels. Very disappointed with breakfast.

Beautiful enclosed space, friendly staff, the wood fired hot tub was amazing. And of course the animals!

The kitchen wear could do with updating and maybe some instructions about the oven as that took a while to figure out
