Torraccia di Chiusi Agriturismo Relais

Torraccia di Chiusi is a very nice and old (well-maintained) mansion, located in the middle of the nature, in a beautiful and small hill. Maria received us very well and was very kind to show us the cellar, and Bruno - the Chef - cooks very nice dinners that we could enjoy in the restaurant terrace. The wine (which is locally produced) is also good and, location-wise, the fact that it is very close to San Gimignano is a definite "plus".

The worst is clearly the path to get to the property: the last stretch - of aprox. 3,5 kms - is a dirt road with lots of potholes and bumps, which takes 12m-15m to go through. As such, after arriving, you don´t feel like you want to go out again to have dinner in other place (so you kind of end having dinner all days in Torracia's restaurant; which we enjoyed, but felt a bit "pressured" to). Finally, the swimming pool is not that big as it looks in the photos.

Beautiful property in stunning location. The staff were excellent and very welcoming to us. All meals were delicious and great value for money. The wine tasting and property tour are must-dos. We never felt the need to leave the property. Great place for rest and relaxation and also exploring the countryside.

If you have the chance - stay here! This winery and agriturismo is in a wonderful countryside location, with many beautiful places to visit in close driving distance (Chianti, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra...) The owner, Stefano, gives great winery tours and tastings and the staff is also extremely polite and helpful. Maria at the reception especially! A plus: you can have a wonderful Tuscan dinner directly on spot. Highly recommend!

Maria did everything she could to ensure we remained comfortable and had anything we needed. I liked how she also gave us suggestions and tips for parking at the places we wanted to visit.

Staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The meals were exquisite, always with a personal touch. We can’t wait to go back.

The road that leads to the property is very dusty but makes it more special.

We only have positive things to say about our stay. The views were incredible. The hotel is secluded and a great place for rest and relaxation with wonderful wine! Another positive is that the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The hotel has immaculate service and is kept incredibly clean. Water is always readily available and free. Breakfast with a view was one of my favourite parts of our trip! The bruschetta was delicious. We also opted to have the 5 course meal. This is also something I highly recommend! We will definitely return!

After getting here by a rather long, dusty and dilapidated gravel road in schorching heat we felt rather down. But when we saw the place sorrounded by endless Tuscan countryside and tall cypresses, welcomed by owners who made us feel like at home, we, well, felt somehow different. And when we dined on their locally made food and drank their wine (Torracia also makes superb wines), we felt like finding a gem hidden deep in the hills, just like world famous Hinthial, Etruscan statue found just below the mansion. Breakfast unique bread made with local antique yeast, made into bruschettes with sliced tomatoes and freshly picked basil, fresh cheese and listening to Allessandra Celletti playing Satie...well. On top of all this, Torracia is situated right on the ancient pilgrim Via Francigena. One wonders how many pilgrims in past centuries passed by this place. It is truly hard to find a place so deeply imbued with history. Facilitywise, for the children, very nice and clean pool with a view of San Gimignano, room large, air con working flawlessly, dozens of swallow nests just in front of your room door welcoming you every morning. SUPERB in just the every way.

Absolutely everything was far beyond our expectations.

We had such a wonderful week with you as a family. Breakfast and dinners were delicious ,as were your wines.The location, views and peacefulness were beautiful. We received a warm welcome and hope to return one day.

The history associated with the building, how isolated it is with amazing view of the hillsides, vines and San Gimingiano.
