Casa do Salgueiral

Heerlijke plek tijdens onze rondreis in Portugal. Alsof je logeert in een klein museum. Fantastisch! Heerlijk ontbijt! NB: volg ter plekke de bordjes om er te komen, houd niet googlemaps aan, die leidt door (te) smalle straatjes.

Voor een restaurant moet je 20 minuutjes rijden.

Incredible stay! What a joy to stay at such a beautiful house. Our apartment was huge – massive bedrooms with a separate toilet and shower each. Super comfortable beds with premium linens and great choice of pillows. Breakfast was delivered each day in a picnic hamper with some variety of little muffins, croissants, bread, jams, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, ham, cheese and coffee each day. The hosts were so nice and even did some washing for us. The property is exceptional – the chapel is so nice and the garden and vines everywhere are so well kept with little pots of flowers and details that show care and love. The views are amazing. I was worried we would be a little bit high in the valley, but the location is really good. I loved the drive through this area – so many vines – and it is an easy 10-minute drive to reach Peso da Regua town.

Die Unterkunft ist großartig, sehr stilvoll und in gut erhaltener Tradition über Familien weitergegeben. Ein herrschaftliches Haus mit vielen kleinen liebevollen Details. Gelebte Geschichte! Das Hausbesitzerpaar ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat gute Tipps vermittelt! Es wäre schön, noch einmal länger und bei etwas wärmerem Wetter zu kommen.

Nichts

The peaceful countryside with beautiful views of the region's vitaculture were wonderful after 5 busy days in Lisbon and Porto. Wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts were warm and gracious and made us feel right at home.

We found the narrow, twisty roads with limited visibility a little frightening to drive on. But following the visible blue signs for the Casa the last mile or so led us there easily.
