Zevenwacht Cottages

The food and service were excellent, and suitable for families.

There was no backup generator/inverter to cover for load shedding, but other than that, we had a great stay.

Breakfast was good and central.

The unit could do with a microwave.

loved that there were wall heaters everywhere. the place never felt cold even though the nights were freezing. beds were comfortable

The pictures were a bit deceiving since we expected to have a garden (stayed in No.4). or at least more than just the front porch.. there were nothing in the kitchen.. not a single pot a spoon or a dish.. had to go buy some cutlery just to have a snack

Grounds are beautiful.

Kitchenette hardly had anything to use. Should consider microwave, crockery and cutlery.

We got married here 12 years ago and regularly visit. This time it wasn't as good to be honest but still go will back for nostalgia reasons and because it's a beautiful place with lots of good memories.

No basic cutlery in cottages. Restaurant was closed as it was Easter Sunday but we weren't informed about it. We missed wine tasting too despite being told it closed at 5 (it was clarified that the area closed at 5 but last lasting was at 4, would have been good to have been explicitly told this before, we raced to be there before half 4). We ended up ordering on uber eats as we'd both been drinking and didn't want to drive and realised too late the restaurant was closed. Gate person (Or some people with him, we couldn't work it out )turned away delivery driver and husband had to chase after him. Then we realised cottages didn't even have knives and forks to eat our food with! Though after calling someone brought them through.However, all this negatively impacted on our stay. It wasn't exactly relaxing and we weren't able to do wine tasting or eat at the restaurant..
