Ystumgwern Luxury Barn Conversions

The host Jane and her husband were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for me and my girlfriend, the apartment was very well decorated clean and modern with a touch of country. It also had the most comfiest queen size bed too. When we arrived we had a traditional Welsh fruit loaf and Welsh tea cakes waiting for us also there was tea, coffee and a pint of milk. Jane showed us around the place and opposite our apartment was even a games room for rainy days in an attached out building with a laundry facilities room as well,

Our stay at the Barn was absolutely wonderful. It was like a home away from home, comfortable and clean. Jane was very helpful and was just a phone call away. It's so close to the beach which has the most beautiful sunsets with unspoilt snand and not many tourists. We were welcomed by Jane with lovely Welsh cakes and milk in the fridge, ready for a cup of tea. The games room is the cherry on top. If you don't feel like going out, you have a games room right next to you. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering.

The only issue we faced was the WiFi connection. But it didn't affect our stay.

There's too much to list in such a short paragraph but you wont be disappointed if you stay. Jane the host is superb, generous & considerate as well as highly informative. We had milk, Welsh teacakes & Barra Brith in our welcome pack to the property. All the fixtures, fittings, crockery etc are of the highest quality & we had no issues whatsoever. Although we didn't have the greatest weather, the central heating set to 20-21 degrees was more than adequate for both of us "just right" as my son pointed out. The Wi-Fi for Rural Wales is very good, no buffering when watching content in the evening via online streaming services such as Netflix or Disney+ on our own devices. The accommodation, Sgubor was simply stunning, the pictures that I took just do not do it justice & my son commented "Daddy this place is so nice, can we live here!" I concurred without question. Although a working farm we didn't hear any machinery in the early hours of late in the evening, you do however notice "animal smells" when outside but nothing too bad at all!

Absolutely nothing, Ystumgwern has to be the best venue my Son & I have stayed at in North Wales, hand down!

Great place, everything was clean, nice touches like milk left, no problem finding the place

Draughty room although it was incredibly windy. Knock on the door late in the evening and got accused of stealing electricity to charge my van rather than asking why I had an extension lead going to the van. My van is diesel and all I was doing was charging my e bike . This really spoilt the vacation as it could have been handled much better imo as we just felt annoyed at being accused of stealing and felt like we were being watched all the time.

The cottage is very clean and complete with everything you need. There is also a washing machine with tumble drier and dishwasher. Plenty of parking space. It was perfect for us, my asd son enjoyed the wide open space nearby (farm steadings). There is a game area with billiards, table tennis, foosball table and etc. The owner too is very helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The best we have ever stayed in to date. It was lovely and clean, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. There is a laundry room, a drying room, an amazing games room (pool table, table tennis, board games, books, DVDs and much more). There is an outside eating area, unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind enough for us to use it. The hostess (Jane) was perfect, nothing was too much, when it became obvious that my wife would struggle with the stairs leading to the flat (very bad Arthritis in her foot) Jane very quickly moved us to a ground floor flat. I would have no hesitation to book this accommodation again. Thank you Jane for making our stay so enjoyable.

The weather. Not to self: Must go earlier in the season next time.

This holiday flat exceeded our expectations. It was lovely and clean, the crockery was Denby not just plain white and looks new. It was really nicely decorated. They have thought of most things with a laundry room, great games room with a pool table and table tennis and board games. If the weather had been kinder there's an outside eating area with option to use a barbecue. The host was really friendly, would be very happy to stay there again. The shower was the best shower I have used in either a hotel or holiday home. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. There's some nice eating areas within a few minutes in the car.

Nothing really. The weather could have been kinder. The oven is gas, as I am not used to that found bit different to know what temperature to use. So ate out more, which wasn't a problem
