Quinta da quebrada

The place was amazing. Very spacious, but at the same time cosy and authentic. The garden and the surroundings of the Quinta were very beautiful, especially the view from the pool. The place was clean and well-equipped. Every day we got fresh bread, eggs and fruit. We felt very welcomed and would definitely recommend this place.

La quinta a plusieurs petites maisonnettes dispersées dans un environnement fleuri et dans un quartier très tranquille. Nous avions une vue sur mer et une petite terrasse intime. Tout était très propre. Changement des serviettes de bain tous les jours. Produits de petit déjeuner livrés sur place tous les jours.

Très bon accueil. Cadre superbe avec vue sur les montagnes et la mer, depuis la maison, ou depuis la piscine. Jardin luxuriant. Environnement très calme. Parking gratuit disponible.

La cuisine pourrait être un peu mieux équipée pour pouvoir cuisiner soi-même. Mais tout de même très fonctionnelle. Petit déjeuner copieux, mais serait encore mieux avec des produits de meilleure qualité (confiture, fromage, jambon industriels assez décevants).

La dame sur place pas très agréable, manque d équipements de cuisine et pas de place pour cuisiner, meubles de cuisine (ainsi que son contenant) qui sentaient extrêmement mauvais, matelas inconfortables

We stayed at the place for one week - it was great! We loved the location: peaceful, in nature, by the ocean, great overview of the coast/cliffs, amazing! Great fit if you are with the car, pretty comfy to reach all locations around the island and get back to the place to sleep and relax :) Our home had all needed facilities, we were able to cook and store food at the fridge, make some coffee and seat at the terrace. There was also a small pool by the parking, so we were able to swim a bit too! :) The shower had hot water, worked all good. We had some extra blankets and a radiator in the room too, as it got a bit chilly during nights. The stuff was really helpful and easy to reach out, we were also getting fresh bread and some products for breakfast every morning, was perfect! When we asked for some extra stuff, we always got it :) thanks for this!

The only thing we could specify would be changing towels during the stay if possible: as it gets a bit messy due to longer time of staying and us hiking and bringing sand etc :) also, it's quite humid on the island and they didn't get dry fully, so changing would be really helpful. We spotted few big mosquitoes and spiders, but were able to use the spray we were given, but still wasn't expected :)

Liked EVERYTHING about this place. Cozy and comfortable stay that felt right at home. Super neat and clean. Everyday cleaning. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils for cooking. Great breakfast provided by Joana a day prior, we could leave easily early morning for the hikes without missing the breakfasts. Very thoughtful <3 Returned to clean bed, rooms, toilets by end of the day. Super Thank You! This place has a common pool and sun bathing chairs with view of the mountains and the sea. It was so soothing. You will be waking up to the sound of the sea waves, birds chirping and roosters screaming :P No city noise. There are also some cute , friendly cats to play with. No harms done by them. We accessed the place by car. Not sure of public transport. Haven't seen any. Place is 30-40 mins away from the Airport and Funchal.

Liked everything. But, it is nice to have some of the things below: A clothes drying rack to dry the wet clothes after getting wet from hike due to rain or beach or pool experience; an iron for the dry clothes. Also nice to have oil/black pepper for cooking.
