Good value and excellent restaurant

Arrived after long travel. Room smelled of bleach. Owners daughter wouldn’t let us bring in our beverages in to site. The pool was filthy and even I wouldn’t swim in it. Dog roaming around grounds dropping its Buisness where it likes. Full of men everywhere ( workers stopping over). Indian staff working on site that could speak little English . Not welcoming and avoid it at all costs. Prison environment. Worse place ever. We didn’t stay more than an hour and moved on. They can keep the money and clean up that pool.

Really great agriturismo just on the Via Francigena. We loved our stay here, the owners were exceptionally hospitable and friendly and they even do a super quick laundry service (perfect for walkers!). Room was very clean and comfortable. The food was outstanding - some of the best we have ever eaten (Italian and Brit who has lived for years in Italy) and it was extremely reasonably priced.

For those walking the Via Francigena this place is an option to walk direct from Celle using a short-cut, avoiding Troia and staying in Castelucce. It is functional but the restaurant and bar are expensive. There is a bar andt small shop on the adjacent crossroads, 400m away. The single bed is a 3/4 double.

WiFi was sporadic in the room.

Great location to stop on a trip or if walking the Via Francigena as we were. Very good reasonably priced resteraunt. Note less than 100m away at the crossroads is a great cafe/ bar/ minimart with friendly staff.... get lunch there if walking. Open 6.30am to 8.30pm 6.5 days a week.

While breakfast, lunch and diner were available/provided there was no " bar/ cafe" to get drinks during the rest of the day. Small and limited vending machine inadequate. Little information on the history or current operations of the place.

Very nice place for a good price, we stopped here for a night whilst passing through Puglia. They also make amazing pizzas for dinner

It has reasonably priced laundry service with quick turn around, perfect for the pilgrim. The dinner and breakfast on site were excellent. Good fresh ingredients and very well prepared. There is an on site bakery that makes very good and abundant baked goods for breakfast. They also serve breakfast at 6:00 a.m., perfect for pilgrims on the VFS. The location is right on the VFS.
