FIXIE LOFTS - Colonial Villa Suites with Pool

Vengo a la Zona Colonial bastante a menudo y desde que descubrí este sitio no busco otra cosa. Lo que más valoro es la tranquilidad. Después de un día de vueltas, llegar a ese patio en silencio se agradece muchísimo. Tener cocina propia me cambia la estancia por completo, porque me organizo a mi manera, preparo algo cuando quiero y no dependo de horarios de nadie. Esa autonomía para mí lo es todo. La habitación siempre impecable y con mucho carácter. La ubicación inmejorable para moverse a pie por toda la zona.

En lo negativo, nada que reseñar. Volveré pronto, como siempre. Quizás, señalar que no hay TV, pero para mi no es un problema. Este lugar no es un hotel de cama+baño+tv, sino que tiene estudios de tamaño considerable, con cocina y algunos balcón privado.

Esta villa nos pareció un verdadero oasis dentro de Santo Domingo. En cuanto cruzas la puerta el ruido de la ciudad desaparece y te quedas en un patio tranquilo con plantas y una piscina que invita a quedarte todo el día. La habitación amplia, limpia y con mucho encanto, se nota que cuidan cada rincón. Tiene su propia cocina y sala. La ubicación es inmejorable, en plena Zona Colonial, así que sales y tienes restaurantes, cafés y todo para caminar. Nosotros lo recorrimos entero a pie. Volveríamos sin pensarlo. De lo mejor que hemos encontrado en Santo Domingo.

Un detalle a tener en cuenta: no es un hotel, así que no hay recepción. A nosotros no nos supuso ningún problema porque la comunicación antes de llegar fue muy buena y siempre estuvieron pendientes por mensaje, pero conviene saberlo si buscas el servicio típico de hotel.

We weren't sure what to expect, but this place completely won us over. The suite was huge — honestly more like having our own private apartment than a hotel room. Full kitchen, our own bathroom, tons of space to actually spread out and relax instead of tripping over each other. The pool was the unexpected highlight. After a long day walking around in the heat, coming back to take a dip in a quiet courtyard surrounded by old stone walls felt almost unreal. We had it mostly to ourselves. Location couldn't be better. You step out the door and you're right in the heart of the old town, with restaurants, history everywhere. Walkable to basically everything, but the building itself is calm and tucked away from the noise. Mey was lovely and made everything easy from start to finish. We're already planning to come back. Highly recommend if you want something with real character.

The room doesn't have a TV. But this is clearly stated upfront, so we knew before booking. If anything it helped us disconnect.

The suite was everything I wanted for a comfortable stay in the center of Santo Domingo. Although located on a main street in the Zona Colonial, the studio was away from all the noise, so you could enjoy the sleep at night. Everything in the app was super clean and the owner regularly kept in touch to offer cleaning and fresh towels. The mini kitchen came in very helpful, although I recommend trying out all the local restaurants around. Many thanks to the owner who was very attentive and kind and provided everything I needed. Although it was very hot (I came in a 35 degrees June), the AC managed to freshen up all the place very quickly. I warmly recommend this place and I will surely return for my future stays in Santo Domingo.

Absolutely nothing negative to say.

Der Stil der Unterkunft ist wunderschön. Das Tauchbecken ist nach einem langen Tag in der Stadt ideal um sich abzukühlen.

Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist das sehr offene Bad.

Súper acogedor, el balcón, la piscina, toda la estética del loft estuvo súper chulo y todas las instalaciones. Todo muy bien explicado, desde la entrada a la salida. La anfitriona fue súper amable todo el tiempo. Solucionó de inmediato un inconveniente que tuvimos con la reservación por booking. Definitivamente volvería.

Siento que no había nada tan malo como para disgustarme. Como mucho quizás que a veces el aire acondicionado no se sentía tan frío, pero después al rato funcionó bien. Aparte tienen varios ventiladores, así que calor no pasamos.
