Ostria

We have just returned from Skiathos and from start to finish we had the absolute best 7 days at Ostria hotel. The room, the grounds and the pool are beautiful. The hotel is located down a short drive way, meaning you are not next to the road but are still within a few minute's walk to the closest beach and bus stop. You can get the bus from Stop 16 directly into Skiathos town for 2 Euros each way. However, if you decide you don't want to go into town there are plenty of Tavernas within walking distance as well as 2 supermarkets a few minutes walk in either direction. Our favorite thing about this hotel was the people. The staff really do go above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing stay. The rooms were absolutely spotless and the cleaners did a fantastic job on our room on daily basis. We did the Greek night which was so much fun and the food was fabulous, we highly recommend! There is also free on site parking if you decide to rent a car (we recommend a 4X4!) We will 100% be returning. Thank you for such a fantastic week, we miss this place already!

The hotel is fantastic – the place is very convenient, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The garden and pool are incredible, with lush greenery everywhere. It’s perfect for kids, who can walk barefoot on the grass right from the terrace. The whole yard is amazing, with a well-kept lawn and lots of space to relax and enjoy nature.

Honestly, there wasn’t really anything we didn’t like.

Upon arrival we were met by a lady who was not Sophia the owner. Unfortunately this lady was quite rude when we explained the doors would not close properly or lock. She argued with us for some time before getting a man to fix it shut. The kettle wouldn’t turn off. One bedside plug was broken and the single beds were rather hard

The property was in a lovely quiet location set back from the road but also walking distance to everything we needed, from the beach across the road to the tavernas a short walk away

Nothing

The location was ideal. Plenty of eateries within walking distance with no hills, and a beach directly across the road.

Perhaps some little things were missing like tea, coffee, water and milk in the rooms for a hot drink. Also the breakfast was nice but very much the same thing every day. That could have been due to the end of season though.

the hotel was fantastic! The garden was great where you could see green everywhere, the swimming pool was very clean and the room was wonderful. The staff were very polite, kind and helpful. Furthermore Sofia was very helpful she gave us a map and explained some of the beaches and some recommendation for restaurant. The location was very convenient , the bus station was outside the hotel and also has a mini market 2 min it was very near . I will come again next year for more days for sure 😊
