Ostria

The property is located back from the road so very quiet but also conveniently located for the short walk to the beach and the bus stop. The room was spotless and large. The grounds are very well maintained, pool area very clean. The room was cleaned to a high standard. Aircon a bonus and included unlike at other properties. Simple but adequate kitchenette if you want to cook. Great to have breakfast. I often had the breakfast room to myself at 8am! I was on holiday with friends who stayed at other properties but Ostria was the best by far. The staff are super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Big thank you to all the Team at Ostria for making me feel so welcome 🙏

The rooms were basic like most places in Greece but clean and had new bathroom . Handy to have kitchen facilities and a decent hairdryer . Swimming pool and grounds were lovely . Very close to beach, supermarkets and bus stop

Breakfast could have had more variety.

Good position on island, lovely well kept gardens, parking, comfy bed, good bathroom.

Noise from swimming pool pump all day and night in bedroom (ground-floor room near pool), poorly equipped kitchenette, dated a/c unit, breakfast choice repetitive.

On arrival we were informed that we would have to change rooms after the first night (because of the arrival of other guests). The new room should be one of the best. We didn´t mind the change of room, but we were disappointed with the size of the double bed (was a quite smaller than the in the first room). The second room have no kitchenette (which we were not told). The bathroom was much better in the second room. On the day of departure we ordered a taxi at the reception to the airport. Unfortunately the taxi never came :-(. We ask the lady maybe 3x to check it. It looks like she got tired of answering us, so she told us, that the taxi is waiting at main road. We went there, had been waiting again, and finally we stopped a free taxi driving by. We waited only 5-10 minutes at the airport for boarding, means, if we hadn't arranged the taxi ourselves, we probably would have missed the flight. Wi-fi in the room works very poorly, rather it doesn't work at all. We had asked for two sheets in advance to cover, which was confirmed, but we were only given one on arrival anyway. After changing the room, we again got only one sheet... Little things, but it's not pleasant to deal with it repeatedly

The owners and staff were exceptional! So friendly & helpful & accommodating. The location was great - close to a beach, tavernas and small supermarkets. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day.

Our stay at Ostria was absolutely wonderful!! The whole property is so pretty and so peaceful. It’s set back a bit from the main road so it’s completely quiet, yet it’s close enough to the street that you have the bus stop about 3 minutes away and many delicious restaurants all around. The pool area is very clean and pretty. The pool isn’t the biggest but completely enough for the fact that you are on an island with so many beautiful beaches. The rooms are clean, cozy, and spacious. The balconies have a lovely view, the bathroom is newly renovated and there is even a kitchenette! Breakfast at the hotel was also lovely and had many options. Eggs, bread, cereals, sweets, meats and many more. Maria at the breakfast is a sweetheart. And Anna, the owner, is such a fun, sassy and sweet woman and is so helpful as well. She helped us rent a car for the day, and recommended many wonderful beaches and restaurants. Overall, all the people that worked at the hotel really made you feel at home. The hotel is situated in Kolios which is a really ideal place to stay. It’s about 15 min from town by bus and 10 min from koukounaries by bus, so it’s so easy to get everywhere, yet it’s a lot more calm. There is also a market right around the corner that has everything you may need. So overall it’s truly a wonderful hotel. This was our first time on Skiathos, so we didn’t really know where to stay and just ended up deciding on this hotel, and boy are we glad that we did! If we ever come back to Skiathos, we would definitely love to stay here again. Seriously can’t recommend it enough!!

The mattress was a bit soft, but other than that, there wasn’t nothing to dislike.
