Glykeria Mini Suites

Breakfast was great - nice ideas and perfect greek taste. Black beach is amazing and the beach area which is run by Glykeria has an awesome sea view! Rooms are very clean and cozy. We got a lot of extra information about the island from the owner- family.

Glykeria Mini Suites ticked all of the boxes for what we look for in a vacation property. It is located on a quiet, unpopulated beach, literally 20 steps from the black sand. The hotel fronts a stretch of pedestrian-friendly road (scant vehicle traffic) dotted with over a dozen quality restaurants, all within a 10-minute walk. Our room was plenty large, recently decorated in shades of white and soft gray, outfitted with a modern glass and tile bathroom, equipped with in-room Wi-Fi, TV and refrigerator, and graced with a roomy balcony overlooking the shore. (Note: The "double" bed is actually what would be called a queen-size bed in the US.) What makes the stay unique is the hospitality of the family who own and operate the hotel. Husband, wife and daughter take an interest in each guest and are warm, attentive, helpful and endearingly gracious and accommodating. After a couple of days, we developed a sentimental attachment to establishment -- not something that normally happens.

Nice location, every day cleaning service, renovated design room, had a nice time there. Delicious breakfast with a nice view to the sea. :) Recommended to stay there :)

We had a basement room, and had a smell of dust on the first night, with open window it was okay for the rest of the days.

The accommodation is luxurious, very clean and comfortable for couples.

The breakfast was poor, and the portions was not enough. I would recommend if they can make a small buffet for the people in the future. The location is a far away, you need a car for your stay, there is a bus 15 mins walk.

This location is out of the Thira craziness if you’re looking for quiet and value. I stayed here and rented a car to visit the rest of the island. The hotel provides the rental right in thr facility so I just had to sign and pay. They also pick. up the car right there. The suites are decorated with a modern design and great taste. The personalized attention of the owner and his family adds a great touch.

My room had a private terrace with sea view, but the back view is to some construction and private houses.

Lovely family run hotel just a few steps from the beach! Very well looked after, clean and modern room. Breakfast was exquisite and I felt I was treated to a professional chef standard! It wasn't buffet style but was very filling and varied. It's served from 9am-10am but if you ask the owners they may be able to accommodate this a bit earlier (had to catch a tour at 9am one day so they were kind to have this ready for me half an hour early). The owners (Lefteris and Kuriaki) and the staff were cordial and approachable, making my stay really memorable. I felt personally looked after and not as simply yet another customer. They also went above and beyond to help me when i got stung by a jellyfich (not at the beach in front of the hotel, this was clear). They really did exceed my expectations and I would return in a heartbeat! Thank you!
