Amazing place with a beautiful view, kind staff and good breakfast. IT feels like home. The room is stylish and luxurious and bigger than described!

Wonderful, quiet location in the Douro valley. Great views over the country side. Andre, our host, was superb, very thoughtful, helpful and kind. The swimming pool was fabulous and the accommodation very comfortable. We had an amazing wine tasting and tour of the property with Gil the owner.

The wifi did not reach our room at the end of the hall but was readily available in other parts of the house.

We loved our stay in Casa da Amarela. Andre and Ana was so friendly and welcoming and we immediately felt like we're in our own house afar from home. Andre was available and happy to give recommendations on where to go and what to see (unfortunately some of the roads were blocked due to a bike race so we needed to change and adapt a long the day). Overall we enjoyed our stay

we couldn't find a time that fits for a wine tasting and we felt it's a big miss (Andre was alone during our stay and needed to be available for check ins). As the stay is expensive we think it'll be nice if a glass of wine will be free of charge when we back home at night (there was a menu for self service with prices at the kitchen). It was rainy and cloudy during our stay so the pool wss off limit for us so unfortunately I can't recommend on that.

Very welcoming staff with a personal touch. It is a small, peaceful, relaxing place to stay.

In a beautiful location, wonderful views down the valley, really peaceful. It is so nice being a small hotel with only 5 rooms. Exceptionally high standard of decor & cleanliness. Andre could not do enough to help us. Even prior to check-in his communication was excellent, upon arrival we had a little tour of the property and a taste of the port wine produced here. Both nights he made our dinner reservations for us and chose outstanding restaurants nearby. His local knowledge is excellent. We had a 1-1 wine tour/tasting at their vineyard which was fabulous and so special to get a look ‘behind the scenes’ at a small wine producer. The wine is delicious. Breakfasts were very fresh and good quality. Access to water, tea, coffee and pastel de natas every day too! Would absolutely stay here again!

You need a car, but not really a negative as we would expect this anyway.

Amazing location and extraordinary facilities! The staff was extremely supportive and kind. Very knowledgeable. Family atmosphere. One of the best places we have been to. Highly recommended. It was really an excellent experience.
