Laura, Gil and Andre were amazing hosts and made us feel at home. The location is spectacular and we were very pleased with our choice. Spending time with Gil and Laura to learn more about the history of their property and tasting the Casa Amarela wines and ports made this experience stand out. Hope to return!

We had a wonderful time at Casa Amarela. Andre was so helpful, going out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and that all our needs were metto. He took time to reserve tables at fabulous restaurants for dinner. We would never have found these restaurants on our own. The breakfast was lovely each morning. It felt like we were in our own lovely comfortable home. Gil, owner of the winter gave us a fabulous tour of his winery with great insight into the way they make wine using traditional methods. A place I highly recommend to stay.

This is the most beautiful property. The staff are wonderful. The owners are warmhearted people passionate and knowledgeable about the Douro Valley and the region’s wines and port. The swimming pool was delightful, the accommodation is luxurious, the food was very good too.
