Nutmeg valley

The property is amazingly beautiful. The host is very kind and cared very well for us during our stay. The staff are also very friendly. We stayed only for a night but definitely worth another visit. Highly recommended!

The location of the property is quite remote, and a Google Map can be treacherous to follow. Especially if you are visiting from another city, the signal is very poor, and the map misdirects as the path is windy and the location is interior. Please call the host for proper directions or hire a knowledgeable local driver. We were lost at some point, and we were thankful that the local people helped us. It is a homestay, with minimal food options that could be enhanced. But very tasty food, so not really a complaint, more of a suggestion. The room we stayed in needed more cleaning, as the refrigerator and toilets were not so clean. This should be taken care of. Overall, a fantastic, peaceful place to stay, really far far away from the crowd!

Being a seasoned international traveler himself, Mathew, the owner of the Nutmeg Valley farm, is a super lovely and competent host. He goes to extremes to help his guests having a great time in the area, including food, shuttle services, massages, yoga classes, SIM cards - and of course extended tours across the property, explaining all the different botanical treasures. There are different chalets, a villa and even a tree-house available for accommodation: We stayed in the estate's main villa and each of us had a single room for ourselves, with our own balcony, bathroom, spacious shower, toilet, AC, TV, fridge, huge double beds, panoramic-windows and a shared living space. The design and the materials are only of premium quality and easily match European standards: Finest tile, beautiful marble, exquisite wood. The place was super clean and comfortable. And fortunately, despite sleeping with our balcony doors open to enjoy the beautiful clean and rich air, there were hardly any bugs in the rooms. The Nutmeg Valley eatate offers the perfect retreat from overcrowded places, the road, noise and stress. The parc-like place invites to full immersion into nature - be it by meditating 🧘‍♂️ to the sound of the small river or just walking and sitting around. Or... by checking out where all the different products of the farm are growing: jackfruit, papaya, passion fruit, coffee, cacao, pepper, cardamom, turmeric, starfruit, coconut, pineapple 🍍, giant granadilla, clove, just to name a few...
