Setting was beautiful. Hosts were kind and thoughtful. I loved the villa and it was laid out well with more space than I had expected. Beautifully constructed villa and lovely farm.

No fault of anyone, but the weather was over 100 degrees F and there is no air con downstairs. But turning up the air on the upstairs bedrooms helped to cool off the downstairs after a bit. Loved relaxing here by the pool and taking walks and exploring the area.

Nada a apontar.

Set amongst a beautiful hillside this wonderful historic villa with perfect pool, gorgeous garden, full of lovely fruit for us to enjoy. But the most special aspect were the hosts. Fernanda, Daniel and Anna looked after us and made us feel special. Despite us not having Portuguese, we had many laughs with these new friends here.

We loved everything. We would advise any visitors to have a car though, to make the most of this beautiful location

Owners extremely frindly

The location, a historic family owned home , is spectacular. The view, the nearby river , the property full of fruit trees, is quiet and relaxing. The heated pool is a bonus. Oh, and breakfast...large enough to hold you for the day. The hosts make you feel welcome from the first. They are a genuinely warm couple. Not only would we stay again, we would recommend this place to all who would be traveling in the area.

Quinta Casal de Vila Pouca is a great place to spend your holidays. The rooms are clean and beautifully renovated and the hosts are really friendly and inviting.

My sister has celiac disease and therefore can't have any food containing gluten. We communicated that well in advance, however the breakfast she got did contain gluten. We only found out after she already had it that the hosts thought gluten and lactose are the same. The language barrier didn't make it easy to explain so you really need to speak at least some Portugese before going here.
