Marika Apartments

The view was beautiful from the apartment. The location brilliant, with a 20 min beautiful walk starting at the end of the road, and finishing in the town centre. Good amount of shops and restaurants. The area was quiet enough and the bed was firm and comfortable. Bus stop nearby to a few different places.

The bathroom had been cleaned but it needs a deep clean (eg mould cleaner, the corners etc) the cleaners were not very good, friendly but don't know how to clean. more expensive than other towns in corfu.We didn't meet anyone from Marika apartments on our stay and the keys were left attached to our door on arrival. Unfortunately the bus service to Paleokastritsa was not yet running. Cutlery and crockery a bit scarce (only 2 cups, 2 bowls etc) No TV in the room but i don't watch TV so didn't bother me. I was there in May when the pool was empty but if you are in the bottom apartments you are likely to get splashed by people in the pool as it is only about 2 feet away from the patio area. Unfortunately the nice greek music we used to hear from the restaurants has been replaced with modern music which spoiled it for me and there is nowhere to see traditional greek dancing anymore as apparently they had to stop in lockdown and can't get dancers now. It is becoming more like Spain and Turkey unfortunately.

Plenty of space with all the facilities we needed. Close to all amenities and the pool was great for the children. Staff were helpful and friendly and replied to messages quickly.

The double bed was quite uncomfortable but nothing we couldn’t cope with, the bathroom was pretty dated but as we were using it just as a base it was fine for all our needs

Very clean apartment and good location

Could do with parasols in the pool area, the fixed sun screens don't offer a lot of cover from the sun but generally the pool area was good

Great location, staff on hand to help when you need them. Rooms are basic but everything you need apart from a kettle is the only thing I can criticise.

Location was ideal near to shops and restaurants. Right on the beach so nice breeze in the afternoon
