Porto Katapola Pension

Everything was great! From the start there was very good communication with Giannis, who waited for me at the port. He explained about the island, helped me with renting a car for a good price, gave restaurant recommendations and was available for any questions, either at the reception or by mail/whatsapp. The hotel is very close to the port, the room is clean, quiet, comfortable and has a nice balcony. In the room there was the bag with water, mountain tea and cookies, which was a nice surprise.

Nothing, everything was good

Katapola may be a small town, you may be here just for a night to take the ferry early next morning, or use this place as a base. Regardless of your reasons, stay here. Although the place may not be a 5 star hotel, you can rest assured you will be taken cared of nicely. The service, and the thoughtful gestures goes a long way. The level of service Giannis provided is impeccable - (1) He waited for us at the bus stops (2) knowing that we don't have much time to take breakfast the next morning because of our ferry departure time at 6am, Giannis left us a packet of breadsticks, (3) When I was dining at a restaurant, my next table also is a guest of this place, they are having some issue on ferry connection to Santorini, Giannis drove all the way to the restaurant to fine the couple, explained in detailed how to get there. Excellent level of service to customers.

Excellent location, cosy and clean. Giannis has always a smile on (from morning to night! How does he do that?) and can answer the most difficult questions) :)

There is a fridge, a boiler and a sink but you cannot cook. Lots of take away close by you can eat on the balcony so in the end we did not need to cook.

Perfectly situated in the port with a fine view of the sea and close to restaurants and shops. Giannis was the perfect host, very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Very good value for money.

Giannis was a fantastic host who had all the best recommendations. The room was perfectly clean as well as being done up every day.

It was a wonderful stay at Porto Katapola Pension. The place is so lovely decorated and wonderful calm and relaxing. Giannis is the most loving person and helped with everything we needed. Best Place to stay at Amorgos. We are planning to come back.

Great views

Everything! Mr. Giannis was very nice and helped us with anything we needed. The room was one of the best I' ve stayed so far. Very clean, comfortable bed and amazing view. Definitely coming back the next time I visit Amorgos.

The host was very friendly, he picked us up at the port and gave us information about good restaurants and things to do. The location was very nice, directly at the port, with a nice view from the private balcony, furthermore beaches, shops, bars and restaurants were all close by. The room was spacious and clean, with airconditioning. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Rather small bathroom, but everything you need is there, and minor cooking facilities (there are plates, glasses, cups, but not pans and pots), but a lot of nice, not too pricey restaurants in the vicinity, so this is actually not a problem.
