Scenery

Got lost on the way to the farm. The pin drop given was not accurate. My vehicle and trailer were damaged when I had to turn around on a very poor road. Ended up driving to Graaff Reinet for alternative accommodation. The owner told me in a very stern voice that it is not her fault due to the fact that she had sent directions. I did not see one directional board though and I feel thaf if it was an unprepared person that did not have a 4 x 4 it could have been a very traumatic experience.

We liked the experience of being in the middle of nowhere. So peaceful and tranquil, we loved it!

It is rustic and far from the main road. But it was worth it.

Ansie was a friendly hostess. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and the cottages were well equipped. The antique style furnishings added to the charm of the area and the beds were comfortable.

It was a 45 minute drive on a remote dirt road, so exploring the Graaff Reinet area was a bit difficult. It is better suited for a getaway farmstay, rather than a base to travel from.
